Start Design has won the contract to design packaging and branding for the new Virgin mobile phone service due to launch at Christmas.

 

Virgin Group, which is in discussion with One2One about a joint venture, confirms that Start Design is the only graphic design group involved, though it refuses to disclose the exact nature of the consultancy's involvement.

 

A spokesman for Start Design says: "We are doing the packaging and branding."

 

The mobile phone venture is the latest in a string of Virgin projects by Start, including work for Virgin Cola, Virgin Direct, Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Trains.
