Start understands how Social Responsibility towards the environment involves making management decisions which minimise negative impacts and costs arising from production processes.

 

In addition to Start's internal energy saving procedures, March 2003 saw Start commit itself to operating as a completely CarbonNeutral business. As a result, some 600 trees will be planted this year in a Devon forest to offset Start's 'carbon footprint', or total volume of harmful greenhouse gases emitted by the company’s activities.
