Start conceived Milesmorefriends, a member-get-member email campaign that has generated a 3571% return on investment for Virgin Atlantic.
 
Using a combination of incentives and humour, we have helped to persuade thousands of people to send e-cards to friends recommending they join Virgin Atlantic's frequent flyer programme, flying club. The beauty of this viral mechanic is that it's self-selecting: friends of frequent flyers are likely to be frequent flyers themselves. Consequently, 57% of e-cards sent by members generate new acquisitions and over 40% of these go on to fly in the higher revenue earning cabins.
 
Milesmorefriends has picked up a clutch of honours, including a highly prestigious DBA effectiveness award - intended not just as a tribute to designers but also to companies with enlightened design policies.
