Start creates Virgin Galactic identity and help launch the vision of tourist space travel.
This week sees Virgin unveil the identity and concept for the first ever commercial tourist flights into space which will take off in 2007. As Virgin's brand agency, Start Creative were commissioned directly to create the Virgin Galactic identity and help launch 'the vision of tourist space travel' to the world's press at the Royal Aeronautical Society.
Designing the brand identity, Start has created the spaceship livery, a 2 minute 'broadcast quality' animated video sequence of the 'space flight experience', the launch press pack and 2ft model.
Darren Whittingham, Executive Creative Director at Start Creative said, "We were over the moon to be challenged with such a task. After all, it's not every day you're asked to launch your client to space and back! Virgin has unbelievable vision; Start simply help make that vision believable."
The animated sequence with rocket spaceship 'Virgin Galactic VSS Enterprise' and mother ship were created in 3D Studio MAX and post produced on Infinity.
