Virgin Atlantic is giving away free flights for life in a viral campaign to drive traffic to its relaunched website.
The airline is offering one winner free flights for life in its Virgin's Save Time online campaign, part of its site relaunch. The new site aims to handle all of consumers flying needs online.
Users are invited to select a day, hour, minute and second from a drop-down menu. The aim is to encourage visitors to return to the website to find out when the clock stopped. The person whose chosen time matches the clock will win the flights.
Those entering the competition are incentivised to forward the competition to friends with the chance to win two free flights themselves.
The competition launches this week and is designed by creative agency Start.
Start has also integrated Virgin's Miles More Friends campaign microsite into the website as part of a new promotion.
The airline is promoting new destinations Cuba, Sydney and the Bahamas though Flash-based e-cards. They feature a character called Miles who is carrying out activities on holiday. Consumers are encouraged to forward the cards to friends and receive up to 15,000 bonus air miles.
