Virgin Atlantic is offering free flights for life to the lucky winner of a viral email campaign being used to promote its newly redesigned website.
 
The theme of the campaign, designed by agency Start, is "the right time for the time of your life". Users who visit www.virgin.com/flightsforlife before 31 January can play the game which follows a simple lottery format. To play users simply select a day, hour, minute and second between 1 February and 7 February.
 
Whoever guesses the correct time, to the second, wins with the winner receiving two free tickets each year for the rest of their life to any of Virgin Atlantic's destinations.
 
The viral element of the campaign is of the traditional option whereby players of the game can invite friends to the competition via email. The incentive is, should the person the user invites win the competition, the user receives a pair of free Virgin Atlantic flights.
 
Start, has also appointed Eben Halford as technical director. Halford will be working across Start's accounts including Virgin, BBC, uSwitch, Tube Lines and Royal Mail, and was previously a senior IT consultant for Airtight, a division of Deepgroup.
