BBC Feed Factory

Start has helped make RSS - Really Simple Syndication - really simple by creating a demystifying web initiative on behalf of BBC.

BBC's Feed Factory has been launched to help Internet users understand RSS prior to a planned increase of news feeds available.

Aside from banishing jargon, the site will act as a hub for the full range of RSS applications on offer from the BBC - from local weather updates to movie reviews.

Users of the new site will find plain language explanations of what RSS feeds are, how they work and how they can be set up.

"Once you understand how they work, RSS feeds are really simple to use. Feed Factory seeks not only to demystify this world but also showcases on a single page what's on offer" Tony Ageh, Internet Controller, BBC
