LONDON - Royal Mail is redeveloping its stamps and collection website and has hired digital and design agency Start to handle the work.

The new site http://www.royalmail.com/stamps will celebrate Royal Mail's stamp designs and feature content on past, present and future stamp designs and themes, as well as fun and educational tools for a wide range of audiences.

Start, which is on the Royal Mail tactical design roster, has been charged with developing a relevant and appealing site that aims to retain and acquire customers.

Amanda Close, advertising manager at Royal Mail, said "Start demonstrated a solid understanding of our existing and potential customers, as well as of our social and commerical objectives."

The agency has recently extended the Royal Mail's brand image library with bespoke photography for use across all below-the-line, web, PR and internal communications. This project is due to go live mid spring.
