  1. Mike has ultimate responsibility for every client that comes in the door and all creative work that goes out the door. He directs strategy, he creates concepts and he builds value into brands. Mike has boundless energy and optimism. A good job too, given that he’s a father of four and owns an Arsenal season ticket.
  2. Darren shares overall responsibility for all our clients and all our creative work. His passion and strength lie in breathing life into unloved and new organisations. He has a keen eye for detail. He also has a black belt in karate, so you shouldn't mess with him in presentations. Darren is a family man through and through.
  3. Jen is in charge of nurturing relationships with all our clients. She believes in the personal touch and is willing to go the extra mile to meet people – even if that means jumping on a plane to India. Jen oversees our busy team of account managers and nudges them to deliver work on time and within budget. She unwinds in her spare time with pilates and yoga.
  4. Trevor has 15 years’ experience in digital media design and has been called the industry’s best kept secret. He is responsible for strategy and creative direction on all our digital media projects. Nothing delights him more than rolling up his sleeves and getting right under the hood of a complex job. In his spare time, Trevor dresses in black lycra and pedals furiously up mountains.
  5. Jonathan is responsible for developing business strategy across the complete range of our services. He brings in new clients and incubates business partnerships. He works tirelessly to spread the word about Start. Somehow he also finds time to challenge himself with half-crazed endurance stunts – such as climbing three mountains in 24 hours and cycling 1,000 miles across France.
  6. Steve has overall responsibility for keeping Start on a firm financial footing. He costs business plans, prepares annual accounts and keeps in touch with all the latest financial developments. Steve has been known to wrestle jobs to the ground to keep costs under control. He has a simple and fearless motto – “the truth is more important than the facts.”
